Virgil van Dijk joined Liverpool from Southampton in January 2018.

Van Dijk joined Liverpool from Southampton in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £75 million.
The 27-year-old central defender has been superb for the Reds and is one of the best players in his position in the world.
Liverpool manager Klopp has praised the Netherlands international, and has stated that the defender sees his future at Anfield.
Klopp told The Telegraph about Van Dijk: “Virgil came here and it was a big step for him. He knows he can improve and he wants to improve. He was at Celtic and could win titles, but he sees his future here now.”

Positive for Liverpool fans
Liverpool are a big club, but the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona are bigger, and in years gone by, the Reds have lost major players to the Spanish and European giants.
However, with Klopp stating that Van Dijk sees his future at Liverpool, the Anfield faithful should be relieved, as it seems that the former Celtic star does not plan to leave the Reds anytime soon.
Liverpool are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 79 points from 32 matches, a point behind leaders Manchester City.
