Liverpool missed Trent Alexander-Arnold on Saturday.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted to the club’s official website that he cannot offer a return date on Trent Alexander-Arnold at the moment.
The 20-year-old suffered a knee injury during the warm-up prior to the 1-0 win at Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.

Klopp quelled fears of a lengthy absence by revealing on Friday that the England international could return to the squad for yesterday’s 4-3 win over Crystal Palace, which wasn’t the case.
And asked by Liverpool’s official website about when he can expect to have him back, the German manager insisted that Alexander-Arnold is being managed on a day-by-day basis.
“I don’t know. We have to look day to day, that’s what everybody tells me. [For] Leicester? I don’t know. Trent is a very quick healer so that gives us a little hope. That’s it. We have to see.”
With Joe Gomez also absent with injury, Klopp was forced to play James Milner in a right-back role against the Eagles and, in truth, he struggled.
The veteran Liverpool midfielder impressed going forward, but defensively Wilfried Zaha had him on toast at times and the sooner Alexander-Arnold is back, the better.
Klopp’s side moved seven points clear of second-placed Manchester City, who visit Huddersfield today.
