Gary Lineker was watching Spain in action against France in the UEFA Nations League final last night, and the BBC Match of the Day presenter was blown away by reported Liverpool target and Barcelona midfielder Gavi.
Gavi is the latest player to be linked with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
El Nacional reported last week that Liverpool are ready to pay the 17-year-old midfielder’s €50million (£42.39 million) release clause.
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Lineker was following the match last night, and he described the Barcelona midfielder Gavi as “Spain’s new midfield maestro” on Twitter.
How did Gavi play?
Spain lost the UEFA Nations League final 2-1 to France, but no one can blame Gavi.
The 17-year-old was brilliant in the middle of the park and was stunning, both with the ball and without it.

The teenager played with remarkable maturity and was one of the best players on the pitch until he was substituted.
Even some Liverpool fans were impressed, claiming that he was running rings around Manchester United and France international midfielder Paul Pogba.
Gavi had a pass accuracy of 87.1%, took 40 touches, attempted one dribble, made one tackle, and put in two crosses.
