Liverpool are interested in Aurelien Tchouameni with Monaco now admitting it will take a ‘very aggressive’ offer for them to consider selling.

The Reds may have ended their Premier League season but there is still one huge game to come.

The Champions League final against Real Madrid is coming up on Saturday and Liverpool can complete a treble with victory.

Liverpool and Real Madrid will not only fight it out for the Champions League but also the signature of Aurelien Tchouameni.

The Monaco man is in demand this summer and there are conflicting reports about his destination.

Liverpool are interested in Aurelien Tchouameni

Tchouameni has become one of the top young midfielders in Europe this season having excelled with Monaco.

Tall, rangy, combative and also able to carry the ball through midfield, Tchouameni looks like becoming the perfect box-to-box midfielder.

The 22-year-old is a huge prospect and is unsurprisingly attracting major interest.

L’Equipe claim that Tchouameni is dreaming of signing for Liverpool this summer.

The Mirror suggest that Liverpool have agreed terms with Tchouameni but they still believe that he will instead sign for Real Madrid.

It’s unclear just where Tchouameni is going right now with wildly conflicting reports about his stance over joining Liverpool.

This would be an enormous capture for Liverpool and the fee involved would be a massive £67million.

Monaco sporting director Paul Mitchell has now had his say on Tchouameni’s future.

Speaking to RMC Sport, Mitchell claims he doesn’t have a preference on whether to sell to Liverpool or Real Madrid.

Mitchell called Tchouameni a ‘top player’ and ‘incredibly gifted’ but subsequently wants a ‘very aggressive’ fee for the midfielder.

That £67million price tag may just fit what Monaco want, and Liverpool must now hope to convince the Frenchman this summer.

“I don’t have a preference to be honest,” said Mitchell. “As always when you sell a player, there needs to be fair compensation. The market is different every year. Everyone was able to realise what a top player Aurélien is, but everyone also knows that we are an ambitious club with an ambitious shareholder, so no, I have no preference when it comes to selling him.”

“We will have to be very aggressive in terms of supply for us to lose such an incredibly gifted player,” he added.
