Liverpool want Arnaut Danjuma and the Villarreal wide man is now asking the La Liga club to let him leave this summer.

The Reds are still reeling from losing the Champions League final last weekend as they were beaten 1-0 by Real Madrid.

Things could get even worse for Liverpool as winger Sadio Mane now wants to leave the club this summer.

Mane has just one year left on his deal and it seems likely that Liverpool will sell this summer before he leaves for nothing.

Liverpool will need a replacement though and a host of names have been suggested – including that of Villarreal wide man Danjuma.

Liverpool want Arnaut Danjuma

Goal reported in April that Liverpool view Danjuma as the ideal replacement for Mane should he leave Anfield.

Liverpool have been watching Danjuma for a while now and it seems that he is highly-rated inside the Reds recruitment staff.

Danjuma has already played in England having spent two seasons with Bournemouth following a 2019 move from Club Brugge.

The Dutch winger has excelled since leaving Bournemouth for Villarreal.

Deployed either out wide or up front – just like Mane – Danjuma has racked up 16 goals and four assists in 34 games this term.

The 25-year-old has become a star in Spain and he now seemingly wants to make a big move to England this summer.

El Periodico Mediterraneo now report that Danjuma wants to leave Villarreal and has asked be sold this summer.

Danjuma allegedly hasn’t settled in Spain off the pitch and wants to head back to England.

Danjuma has also admitted that he knows Liverpool want him, so the timing of this transfer demand – as well as the news about Mane – seems to point towards the Reds.

If Liverpool want Danjuma, this may now be the time to make their move in the hope that Villarreal will sell.
