Liverpool are showing an interest in signing Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma – and he really tormented Manchester United on Wednesday night.

Danjuma started on the left flank for Villarreal as they travelled to Old Trafford in search of a shock result.

The Dutchman ran Diogo Dalot ragged throughout, driving at the Portuguese defender repeatedly.

Danjuma created chances and even recorded an assist by setting up Paco Alcacer’s opener.

United ended up winning with goals from Alex Telles and Cristiano Ronaldo, but Danjuam still stole the show.

Danjuma on Liverpool’s radar

Voetbal International report that Liverpool are still keen to sign Danjuma having looked at him other summer.

It’s thought that Liverpool scouted Danjuma at Old Trafford last night and could make a move for him in the future.

Danjuma is seen as being a potential replacement for Sadio Mane down the line, with the Senegalese ace approaching his 30’s.

Formerly of Bournemouth, Danjuma hit 17 goals and seven assists for the Cherries last season before heading to Spain.

Danjuma’s agent reacts to United display

Danjuma will have been delighted with his own display having been named Man of the Match – even in defeat.

The player’s agent Michael Jarman, from Panthera Sports, reacted on Instagram to Danjuma’s display.

Jarman simply stated ‘announced yourself to the world’, believing that everybody will now know who Danjuma is after his display last night.

Liverpool scouts know all about him… maybe Reds fans are just as excited now too.
