Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Jude Bellingham’s future.
The England international has been the subject of so much speculation this summer, and according to the journalist, Liverpool are one of the clubs most interested in the Borussia Dortmund star.
Indeed, Romano says that the Reds have asked about Bellingham in recent weeks, but unfortunately for the Merseysiders, they were knocked back in their approach.

Romano spoke about Bellingham and Liverpool.
“Moving into other clubs. I want to mention Jude Bellingham. Many Liverpool fans ask me about this guy about this fantastic midfielder from Dortmund. As I’ve always said here, while we are speaking, Dortmund consider Bellingham untouchable this summer,” Romano said.
“They want to keep Bellingham, they consider Bellingham as part of the project and they know that in the summer of 2023 many top clubs will jump into it, it will be a crazy race. It will remind me of the Haaland saga with many big clubs involved.
“It is true that Liverpool a few weeks ago called people close to Bellingham and Dortmund to enquire about the situation to understand if they had a chance to jump into it, the answer was no, no way, the player is untouchable this summer, but Liverpool are thinking of Jude Bellingham alongside many top international clubs, because also Spanish and English clubs are interested in Bellingham.”
Maybe next year
Liverpool have been knocked back by Dortmund this time around, but as Romano says, a crazy race is set to develop next year.
Liverpool are sure to be involved in that race, and as one of the biggest clubs in the world, they have to fancy their chances of landing the midfielder.
The Times recently reported that the Reds will be in the market for an elite midfielder next summer, and Bellingham certainly fits that bill.
