Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to provide an update on Liverpool and Fabio Carvalho, after a deadline day move collapsed.
What’s the story?
Well, Liverpool and Fulham had agreed an £8m deal for the 19-year-old, which would’ve seen him rejoin the Cottagers on loan until the summer (BBC).
However, the Reds ran out of time, and the move failed to materialise.
Despite that, it sounds as if both parties are keen to get the deal done anyway in June, on the same terms.
You can see what Romano tweeted in full below.
Interestingly, Carvalho is keen to get his move to Anfield sorted, as are his representatives, which bodes well for Liverpool.
In truth, Liverpool are doing Fulham a favour if they hand them £8m in June, when the teenager will actually be available for free.

As a result of him coming through Fulham’s Academy, they will be owed money at a tribunal which could end up being much less than £8m.
For example, Harvey Elliott should’ve fetched a fee upwards of £10m given his vast potential, but a tribunal ruled that Liverpool had to pay Fulham just £4.3m.
Liverpool must get Fabio Carvalho deal done
When this Portuguese-born wonderkid becomes a free agent in June, we presume there will be a huge amount of clubs fighting to sign him.
The England Under-18 international has scored seven Championship goals in 18 appearances this season, and is playing at an exceptional level for his age.

Therefore, it is imperative that Liverpool wrap this deal up quickly, before Carvalho can have his head turned by other European giants.
Keep an eye on this saga, as it sounds like a pre-contract agreement could be in the offing given the circumstances.
