Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have both been credited with interest in the three-assist teenager.

Liverpool appear to have made the first move in the race to sign rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Kai Havertz.
Tottenham were credited with interest in the Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder at the end of October [Sky Sports], with the club’s scouts said to have focused their attention on young players from Havertz’s side, Ajax, Hoffenheim and Monaco.
But in a Football Whispers exclusive, it is now being claimed that the 18-year-old was in fact at Melwood last month ahead of a potential move to Liverpool.
The report adds that Havertz and his agent were greeted by Jürgen Klopp, Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho, as the club ‘went on the charm offensive to convince the youngster that Liverpool was the best place for him to develop’.

However, Liverpool will perhaps be wary of Tottenham’s alleged interest, having also shown Dele Alli around Melwood before the Spurs star’s 2015 move to White Hart Lane – although Gerrard was said to be sleeping on that occasion [Liverpool Echo].
Can Tottenham beat Liverpool to another top talent, or do the Reds have this one in the bag?
