Liverpool want Andreas Schjelderup and Reds scouts were spotted watching his Nordsjaelland side in action against Midtjylland on Monday.

The Reds are likely to make a number of signings in 2023 to freshen up Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

Fans and big, immediate impact players for Klopp’s first team but Liverpool do love to sign young talent too.

The likes of Fabio Carvalho, Calvin Ramsay, Ben Doak and Trent Kone-Doherty all joined over the summer with Liverpool placing a keen focus on prospects.

Liverpool want Andreas Schjelderup

One target in mind appears to be Nordsjaelland playmaker Schjelderup.

Schjelderup has admitted to The Telegraph that he has already trained with Liverpool as a trialist.

The teenager even told Goal earlier this year that he rejected a move to Anfield, but CMW in Italy claim that Liverpool are fighting a number of Italian clubs for Schjelderup.

With his contract ending in 2024 and no sign of a new deal, the race for Schjelderup is surely about to start heating up soon.

Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet report that Liverpool were scouting Nordsjaelland against Midtjylland on Monday.

The game ended in a 0-0 draw so the Liverpool scout may not have enjoyed the most enthralling evening of their life.

Schjelderup managed 75 minutes but he may not have been the only player Liverpool had a look at in that game.

The report adds that Midtjylland winger Gustav Isaksen may have also been on Liverpool’s radar.

Calciomercato claim that Arsenal, Newcastle and West Ham United want to sign Isaksen, who has notched seven goals and three assists this season.

Isaksen is attracting major interest but if we had to guess who Liverpool were watching, we would go with Schjelderup.

The attacking midfielder has smashed nine goals in 16 games this term and with Liverpool already having him on their radar, Monday may have been a check-up on the attacking midfielder.
