Southampton chief executive Les Reed says Liverpool and Tottenham targets Virgil van Dijk and Cedric Soares are not for sale.
Southampton executive director, Les Reed, has spoken out about the rumours linking two of the club’s key players with exits this summer.
As the Liverpool Echo reports, Liverpool are interested in signing centre-back Virgil van Dijk in a £60m deal – despite the fact they have already publicly apologised for their pursuit of the Dutchman.

The same report claims that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on bringing right-back Cedric Soares to North London from St Mary’s, but according to Reed neither defender is leaving.
“None of those players are for sale. I can’t make it any plainer than that and that’s the way we mean to go forward,” the Saints chief told Sky Sports News.
Van Dijk has attracted plenty of interest in recent times and the Reds aren’t the only interested party, with the Independent reporting that Chelsea are also considering a move.
The 25-year-old has played 68 games for the Hampshire club in all competitions since moving to England from Celtic in the summer of 2015.
Spurs aren’t the only club tracking Soares either, with the Sun claiming that Barcelona are thinking of making a shock bid in the region of £15m.
