Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette after scoring against Roma
Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette scored a stunning strike against Roma on Thursday evening, prompting Liverpool and Spurs fans to urge their clubs to sign him.
Lyon hosted Roma in the Europa League on Thursday night, and took the lead through Mouctar Diakhaby, only for Mohamed Salah and Federico Fazio to put Roma in front before half time.
Corentin Tolisso and Nabil Fekir then turned the tie on its head, before Lacazette grabbed the headlines with a stunning long-range strike to make it 4-2, smashing a powerful shot into the roof of the net from outside the box.
Lyon ended the game with four youth academy products scoring the goals, but it was striker Lacazette who again stole the limelight as his stock continues to rise.
The 25-year-old attacker has now smashed 28 goals in 34 games for Lyon this season, taking his tally for the club to a staggering 120 goals in 264 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.
Many now expect the France international to leave Lyon this summer, and The Mirror reported last week that both Liverpool and Tottenham are making pitches to sign Lacazette at the end of the season.

Unsurprisingly, Lacazette’s superb strike against Roma has sparked reaction from both Liverpool and Tottenham fans on Twitter, with supporters clamouring for him to arrive in England.
Spurs fans urged chairman Daniel Levy and manager Mauricio Pochettino to focus their attention on signing Lacazette this summer, suggesting he is the ideal signing to support Harry Kane in attack.
Meanwhile, Liverpool fans believe Lacazette is the perfect replacement for Daniel Sturridge, and sent messages to the club’s official Twitter account telling the Reds to splash the cash on Lacazette this summer.
