Ings featured for Southampton in their Premier League game against Everton away from home on Saturday.

The 26-year-old forward started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Saints lost 2-1.

The England international played well for Southampton and scored for the Saints in the 54th minute.

It was Ings’s first start in the Premier League for Southampton following his move from Liverpool on loan in the summer transfer window.

The former Bournemouth forward joined Liverpool in the summer of 2015 after leaving Burnley at the end of the 2014-15 season.

Much was expected of Ings, but the Englishman suffered with injury problems and was able to make only a handful of appearances for the Liverpool first team.
