Liverpool and Leicester City could really benefit from swapping the two players.
Reds boss Jürgen Klopp is desperate to shake up his attacking options at Anfield this summer, as he plans an assault on both the Premier League and the Champions League.
The German is reportedly willing to sanction Lazar Markovic’s exit for just £12 million, according to the Mirror, and if the Serbian does leave Liverpool, they will obviously have to bring in an established winger to replace him.

With this in mind, Klopp should step up his efforts to sign Demarai Gray, who has been linked with both Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, and with the Mirror claiming that the Foxes value the 21-year-old at around £12 million, a swap deal involving him and Markovic seems like a no-brainer.
Gray possesses pace in abundance, and his direct playing style would fit perfectly into the manner in which the Reds boss expects his side to exert themselves.
At just 21, however, he still has a lot to learn, but Klopp has a penchant for signing young, talented stars and instilling his ideas and philosophies into their game, before turning them into world beaters.
The Leicester man’s showings for the England under-21 side over the past couple of weeks highlighted just how talented he is, and he would be a superb signing for Liverpool. He has many similarities with Raheem Sterling, and if he could emulate the kind of performances the Manchester City star put in during his time at Anfield, Liverpool would have one heck of a player on their hands.
And by offering the Foxes Markovic’s services in return for Gray’s, the Reds could steal a march on the likes of Everton and Spurs in the race for his signature.
