Glen Johnson says England and West Ham United star, Declan Rice, will ‘end up at Chelsea’ out of Liverpool, Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United and Pep Guardiola’s dominant Manchester City.
The former Liverpool right-back thinks Chelsea will be his next stop because ‘he knows a number of lads there’ and he has a ‘soft spot’ for the West London outfit – after England were knocked out of the World Cup, he was praised by his midfield partner, Jude Bellingham.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to bolster his midfield after big struggles this season, but whilst Chelsea spent over £200 million in the summer, it wasn’t under the guidance of Graham Potter.

Either way, all the big boys of the Premier League – or those competing or wanting to compete in the Champions League – want him on board, and those in East London might have no choice but to let him go next summer.
It will take a big sum to secure his talents, as Johnson was asked out where he could end up from Liverpool, both Manchester clubs, and Chelsea, as he told GGrecon.
“I don’t want him to (leave) but he needs to move if he wants to kick on in his career,” said Johnson. ” I think he will end up at Chelsea because he has a soft spot for the club and he knows a number of the lads there.
“However, you can never know where he will go because he will have a lot of options.”

WHO WILL SIGN RICE?
Rice was playing in the Europa League last season and he is in the Europa Conference League this season.
David Moyes’ side will want to return to the Europa League, despite their poor start, but they can do that by winning the ECL outright, or securing a top-six spot.
Either way, if Rice is to leave the London Stadium, then there is no point in joining another team in the Europa League, it has to be someone who will challenge for the title from the get-go and are in the Champions League – that opens the door for Man City and Liverpool straight away because they are the only two proven ones in recent years.
