Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Graham Potter’s Chelsea are interested in signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The CBS Sports journalist has reported on Twitter that Chelsea and Liverpool are keeping tabs on the situation of the 20-year-old midfielder, for whom Brighton paid £4.5 million in 2021, adding that bids are expected for him in the January transfer window.

Jacobs has added that Brighton would want at least £50 million in transfer fees for the Ecuador international midfielder.

Liverpool and Chelsea eye Moises Caicedo

Liverpool or Chelsea for Moises Caicedo?

In our view, Chelsea could have an advantage over Liverpool for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.

Chelsea now have former Brighton boss Graham Potter as their manager.

Caicedo knows very well how Potter works and his system, and he could be tempted to move to Chelsea for him.

Now, of course, we know that players do not switch clubs just for managers, but Chelsea also pay big money, and they could be able to convince the 20-year-old to switch to Stamford Bridge with a big salary package.

One thing’s for sure, though.

Brighton will not make it easy for Liverpool or Chelsea to sign the youngster and will make sure that they get what they want for the midfielder.
