Jose Enrique has urged Liverpool on Instagram to sign Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad in the summer transfer window.
The former Liverpool star has said that he knows the reported Reds target very well.
The Stadium Astro and Sky Sports pundit has added that if Liverpool cannot sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, then the Sweden international striker would be a good alternative.
Liverpool interest
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been linked with Isak.
As we covered here on HITC Sport, Noticias de Gipuzkoa reported this month that Liverpool are closely monitoring the 21-year-old striker.
Cadena Ser has reported that Arsenal want the youngster as well.
The 21-year-old is also claimed to have a release clause of €70 million (£60.13 million).
Wonderful talent
Isak is one of the best young attacking players in Europe.
The Sweden international striker scored 17 goals and gave two assists in La Liga for Sociedad last season.
The 21-year-old scored nine goals and gave one assist in 14 La Liga starts in 2019-20.
Isak is doing well for Sweden at the ongoing Euro 2020 finals and has impressed Gary Lineker among others.
Liverpool transfer this summer?
It is hard to see Liverpool cough up €70 million (£60.13 million) for a 21-year-old.
Manager Klopp has options in the attacking areas.
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota are superb footballers.
Unless Sociedad are willing to negotiate, it is unlikely that Isak will be a Liverpool player next season.
