The Italy international said last season his ideal move would be with the Reds at Anfield and he’s not doing too badly this term.

Italy international Domenico Berardi, who has publicly declared that playing for Liverpool would be his dream, has got off to an absolute flyer this season for Sassuolo.
The 25-year-old Neroverdi captain missed the first Serie A game of the season against Torino due to a red card suspension but marked his return against Sampdoria with a hat-trick.
Berardi then followed that superb performance with a two-goal haul against Roma, but sadly he could not prevent Sassuolo from suffering a 4-2 defeat to the Italian capital side.
That’s five goals in just two Serie A appearances, while last season he finished in double figures in all competitions – 10 goals and five assists from 37 appearances (Transfermarkt).
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport (12/5) reported by Goal and TMW, Berardi – who has been linked with Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Roma – said his ideal move would be to Anfield.
“If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it with my club,” he said. “And if I hear that it is the right proposal, to be taken on the fly, this time I will say to Sassuolo: ‘I’ll take it’. Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool.

“Changing remains difficult for me, but it no longer frightens me, I would do it. The next goal is to play in Europe, but at a club where I can be used a lot, if not always. That is my priority.”
Valued at £18million by Transfermarkt, Berardi would hardly be a bank-breaker and he certainly seems to have the drive and ambition, but unfortunately for him, if there’s an area in which Liverpool do not need to strengthen at present, it is their front line.
Nonetheless, it’s certainly good to see someone who likes Liverpool do so well for his club, and in football, you never know what could happen and who could sign for which club.
