Tottenham Hotspur play host to Liverpool in the Premier League today.

Liverpool ace Virgil van Dijk spoke exclusively to the club’s official website yesterday, ahead of his side’s clash with Tottenham today, and warned his teammates that they will be in for a very tough afternoon in north London.
The Reds have begun their 2018/19 Premier League campaign in fine fashion, winning all four of their games thus far, whilst Spurs have taken nine points from a possible 12.
Liverpool spent heavily in the summer, bringing in four new faces for nearly £180 million, but Tottenham failed to sign a single player.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men do have home advantage, however, and they will be desperate to put their disappointing defeat to Watford behind them as soon as possible.
Van Dijk spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and talked up the quality that Tottenham possess, warning his side that they will be in for a tough afternoon at Wembley:

“It’ll be a very hard and tough game. They’re a very good team, but we are as well. It’s going to be very interesting, but I am looking forward to the challenge.”
Tottenham have received criticism in recent weeks, but Van Dijk’s comments should at least lift their morale, and make the Spurs fans feel proud of their team.
