The Liverpool goalkeeper is currently on loan with Besiktas.

Loris Karius of Liverpool looks on during the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool on May 26, 2018 in Kiev, Ukraine.

Liverpool stopper Loris Karius has claimed that he has turned down moves to five separate clubs this summer, two of those being English, when speaking exclusively to Turkish media outlet Sporx.

The German is currently halfway through a two year loan deal with Turkish side Besiktas, and the Reds-owned ace seems to have no real future at Anfield.

Karius, 26, really struggled for Liverpool, after moving to Merseyside from Mainz for £4.7 million in the summer of 2016 (BBC Sport).

He made a series of high profile mistakes during the 2017/18 campaign, and following Alisson Becker’s arrival from Roma 12 months ago, he was quickly farmed out to Besiktas.

The 26-year-old told Turkish media outlet Sporx how there have been plenty of clubs interested in signing him this summer, however, despite the fact that he still has 12 months to go on his loan deal with Besiktas:

“This season, through my agent, two clubs in the UK, three clubs from Germany, made offers. I turned them down. Besiktas is very special for me.”

Much will depend on how Karius performs over the next 12 months, but even if he is on his very best form, he will surely only ever be Liverpool’s number 2.

And a permanent move away from Anfield will surely be the best outcome for all parties involved.
