Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur will be battling it out for the Premier League title this season.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson spoke to reporters last night, and offered high words of praise for Tottenham, labelling Mauricio Pochettino’s side as an ‘outstanding’ team, as quoted by the Daily Star.
The Reds beat Spurs in the Champions League final last season, and finished two places and 26 points ahead of them in the Premier League table.
When speaking to reporters, however, Henderson insisted that Tottenham will be challenging Liverpool for the title this season, as quoted by the Daily Star:
“Everyone will talk about Liverpool and City because they won the league and were so good and we won the Champions League. It is easy to do that. But you have to look at the other teams. They are going to improve. I watched Spurs against Juventus in a friendly and they were outstanding. There are more teams than us and City who will be competing.”
On their day, Spurs really are one of the best teams in world football.
Pochettino has already brought in Tanguy Ndombele for a club record fee, and he seems to be far from done.
The Daily Star claims that Tottenham are close to signing Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon, so it seems as though the Argentine is on the verge of assembling a really formidable team.

Liverpool, meanwhile, haven’t really made any signings of note, with the additions of young duo Harvey Elliot and Sepp van den Berg failing to get Reds fans’ pulses racing.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are still in great shape, however, and Tottenham will have to be at their very best if they are to usurp the Merseyside outfit in the race for the Premier League title this season.
As Henderson says though, Spurs are an outstanding team, and this season could very well be their year, especially if Pochettino brings in one or two more world class signings before next week’s deadline.
