One Liverpool star has received praise from the foreign media for his performance for his national team overnight.
Liverpool are set for an important summer transfer window under new manager Arne Slot who replaced Jurgen Klopp at Anfield after nine successful years on Merseyside.
The transfer market is set to be vital for the reds but one area of the pitch the club are not looking to strengthen in, is understood to be the centre of the park.
HITC has previously reported that Liverpool are not in the market for a new midfielder this summer with the club believing that youngster Stefan Bajcetic is good enough to be an option following a lengthy spell out with an injury.

Liverpool midfielder praised for international performance
Another reason why the club seemingly believe that a midfielder is not needed this summer is due to the performances of the current crop of options.
One of these players is midfielder Alexis Mac Allister who has had a superb 18 months after winning the World Cup with Argentina. The former Brighton & Hove Albion man has gone from strength to strength and was one of Liverpool’s best performers last season.
On the international stage, Mac Allister has also been praised and was one of Argentina’s best performers at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
It seems Mac Allister has continued that trend into the Copa America as the South American side advanced through to the final of the competition after a 2-0 win over Canada.
Lionel Messi and Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez look set to receive the acclaim from fans but Argentine outlet Ole were keen to praise the impact of the Liverpool midfielder.
Argentina were the deserved winners in the end and Ole say that Mac Allister is ‘getting better every day’.
Mac Allister in for big season at Anfield
After impressing during his debut season at the club, Mac Allister will be vital for the reds if they are to improve under Slot.
One midfielder who the club were keen on is Mats Wieffer but the Dutchman decided to join Brighton in a £30 million deal.
As for Mac Allister, with no new midfield signings set to come in this summer, the burden is on the World Cup winner to perform at the highest level for the club.
