Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum reacts to Dutch defeat.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has expressed his disappointment as Netherlands failed to beat France in last night’s international match.
France won the game 2-1 in the UEFA Nations League clash.
It was Wijnaldum’s 50th international match and he said he was thankful for making the milestone appearance.
Commenting on Instagram, Wijnaldum said: “We came back in the game after a bad first half, but it just wasn’t enough tonight.
“Too bad I couldn’t celebrate my 50th official game for @onsoranje with a win, but I’m proud to wear this jersey everytime I step on and off the pitch. Thank God for reaching this number.”

Wijnaldum was a little fortunate to be selected as a starter in the match after his previous performance against Peru in a friendly on Thursday.
He was substituted at half-time in that game and Holland subsequently turned around a 1-0 deficit to win 2-1.
His international exploits are now done for this international break and he can return to Liverpool to begin preparations for this weekend’s game against Tottenham Hotspur.
