Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been linked with a move to Tottenham.

Tottenham will be looking for a replacement for Fernando Llorente this summer when the Spaniard’s contract expired.
In recent weeks Llorente has shone as a back up for star striker Harry Kane.
One high profile name linked is Daniel Sturridge, who’s contract at Liverpool is also up at the end of the season.
The Mirror (February 12, page 56) reported Spurs are considering a swoop for the Liverpool forward.
Yesterday Sturridge got a chance to show suitors what he can do, when he replaced injured Roberto Firmino in the first half against Manchester United.
It’s the same role he would occupy at Spurs, a back up, willing to wait and be called into action when required.
Sturridge’s performance at Old Trafford will not have caught Tottenham’s eye.
He came on in the 30th minute and managed just 24 touches in an hour.

Sturridge had only one shot, which barely troubled David de Gea.
He did not improve the Liverpool team, and it’s fair to say they were less threatening without Firmino.
United’s defence played well, and Liverpool as a team were disjointed.
It was still a missed opportunity for Sturridge to show what he can do in a big game and turn match winner.
Summer suitors will not have been impressed, and Tottenham who are looking for a top level game changer, will have been left feeling that they need someone better.
