Liverpool should consider challenging Tottenham for Douglas Costa.

Douglas Costa is set for a summer move away from Bayern Munich, with BILD reporting he will be available at £35 million this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur are seen as among the frontrunners to sign the winger, report The Mirror, who was used sparingly by Carlo Ancelotti last season.
Costa would fit in well at Spurs, providing proven quality on the wing, an upgrade on the young players with potential they have tried to make work in previous seasons.

Brazilians have though had trouble adapting to the Premier League in the past, but one club where he would be unlikely to have trouble is at Liverpool.
If the Reds made a move for Costa then he would join countrymen Coutinho and Roberto Firmino and help form a dynamic attacking trio.
Costa is certainly open to the possibility, ‘liking a tweet about playing alongside Coutinho, Firmino and Sadio Mane’ earlier this year, Empire of the Kop reported.

In a World Cup year, linking up with his fellow Brazilians could really benefit both Costa and the Selecao, and it is hard to believe he would choose Spurs instead of the Reds with this in mind.
Liverpool are at present targeting Mohamed Salah after his superb season in the Bundesliga at Roma, but The Mirror report they will not be held to ransom over the Italian side’s high demands.
Salah is a quality player but he would not solve the problem Liverpool faced mid-season when Sadio Mane left for the African Nations Cup, as he would also be required too with Egypt.
Challenging Tottenham for Costa could be a sensible option, and it’s a battle they could probably win.
