Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter in order to heap praise on Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott for their displays against Everton.
Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott were ‘brilliant’ in Liverpool’s 2-0 home win over rivals Everton on Saturday.
That is the view of pundit and former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher, who praised the Reds duo on social media.
Liverpool were thoroughly expected to beat Everton, especially when Ashley Young was sent off for two bookable offences.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were struggling to find the breakthrough before Michael Keane’s handball allowed Mohamed Salah to score from the spot.
Salah then sealed a 2-0 win, slotting home from Nunez’s pass late in the day to give Liverpool bragging rights again.

Jamie Carragher hails Liverpool duo Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott
Liverpool have been unlucky with the fixture schedule this season.
The Reds have been given the 12:30pm Saturday slot straight after the international break, which is a nightmare for managers.
Klopp subsequently left Nunez on the bench having been shining in South America with Uruguay in the international break.
Nunez came on and made a big impact though, driving at the Everton defence and eventually picking up an assist.
Elliott also impressed as a substitute, almost scoring a long-range piledriver as Jordan Pickford tipped his shot onto the crossbar.
Liverpool hero Carragher took to social media to hail both Nunez and Elliott as ‘brilliant’, believing that they made a huge impact off the bench.
Klopp seems to have real squad depth at the moment and is able to bring on game-changing players like Elliott and Nunez.
Both still have plenty of developing to do, but their displays on Saturday will leave many – including Carragher – excited for the future.

Elliott and Nunez will hope for Liverpool starts this week
Liverpool’s attention will now turn to the Europa League clash with Toulouse on Thursday evening.
Klopp will rotate his squad for that game and both Elliott and Nunez should be in contention.
Elliott and Nunez have started both of Liverpool’s Europa League games so far this term, helping the Reds beat LASK and Union Saint-Gilloise.
Both players impressed off the bench against Everton and must now kick on when they receive chances to start.
That next opportunity could be just days away, potentially giving Elliott and Nunez a chance to build some real momentum.
