Gabby Agbonlahor has backed Aston Villa to beat Tottenham 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon and Jamie O’Hara has told him that he is living in ‘dream land’ following his comments.
The ex-Villa striker has posted on Instagram that the club’s attack and midfield looks ‘strong’ ahead of their visit to North London.
Dean Smith’s side go into the game having won back-to-back matches, including winning at Old Trafford last time out.
Whereas their opponents, aside from their Europa League Conference win in midweek, are on a run of three defeats on the bounce in the Premier League.
One thing is for sure, if Nuno Espirito Santo’s side start like they did in the North London derby, then Villa will rip them apart.
And Agbonlahor thinks there is only one team that will come out on top at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It’s going to be interesting to see if Nuno changes his formation for this match and reverts to his three at the back system he used to deploy during his Wolves days.
Villa will certainly play three at the back, including two men up top in Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings.
Watkins scored at Spurs towards the back end of last season and he will be hoping to get off the mark for the new campaign today.
But so will his fellow England international Harry Kane, with the duo set to link up at St George’s Park next week.
