Speaking on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel, Jason Cundy has made a claim about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that will potentially give Arsenal fans nightmares.
This weekend, Aubameyang faces off against his former club for the first time since his departure earlier this year, and Cundy has tipped the Gabon forward to emulate Emmanuel Adebayor at Stamford Bridge.
Of course, back in 2010, Adebayor scored against Arsenal for Manchester City and he ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the travelling Arsenal fans.
Cundy has pondered whether or not Aubameyang could do the same this weekend if he scores against his former club.

Do an Adebayor
Cundy suggested that Aubameyang could emulate Adebayor against the Gunners.
“Hopefully he’s had that Arsenal tattoo scrubbed out. I don’t think he’s been a dud, he’s scored a lot of important goals for us so far,” Cundy said.
“I feel against Arsenal you have to go with Aubameyang and you have to go with Sterling. There is always that fear of if Aubameyang will come back to haunt Arteta after the break-up. There’s that lovely little twist that only football can give you. We all remember Adebayor running the length of the pitch at Man City. Will he be making that same run Aubameyang? I don’t know.”
Backlash
We can’t even begin to imagine the type of backlash Aubameyang will receive if he celebrates in such a way at the weekend.
It was bad enough that Adebayor did it 10 years ago, but Aubameyang left under even more acrimonious circumstances, and a celebration like this could spark a nuclear reaction.
Of course, in order to celebrate Aubameyang needs to score, and with Arsenal playing so brilliantly right now, that’s easier said than done.
