Jermain Defoe scored a hat-trick for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers, but he shared the wealth afterwards.

Jermain Defoe has deflected attention away from himself and shared some of the limelight with Rangers team-mate Steven Davis.
The legendary striker was in scintillating form on Sunday as Defoe scored a hat-trick in the Gers’ 6-1 win over Hibernian at Ibrox.
But like all strikers, the Rangers hitman could only eat what he was being fed and Davis offered plenty of service on that front, setting up the veteran’s third goal with a brilliant run.
Speaking to the club’s YouTube channel, Defoe thanked the Northern Ireland international and described him as a ‘little genius’.
He said: “Davo, he’s a little genius. I just knew [where he was going to put the ball]. He’s good at that to be honest. He just stood it up at the back post.”
Davis originally struggled after returning to Rangers from Southampton on loan in January, but the 36-year-old, who made the move permanent in May, eventually found his rhythm and he’s been unreal ever since.
This is a player who was in the dressing room the last time that the light Blues won a major trophy – in 2011 – and if he can replicate his brilliance on a regular basis, it’s such a boost for Steven Gerrard’s side as they bid to stop Celtic from winning a ninth successive Premiership crown.
