Former Everton midfielder, James Rodriguez, has labelled Luis Diaz as a ‘little fighter’, as he posted on the Liverpool player’s Instagram.
On Sunday, Liverpool lifted the League Cup when they beat Chelsea on penalties at Wembley and Rodriguez, who left Everton in the summer, told Diaz that this is the ‘first of many’ trophies for the Colombian.
This was the full message Rodriguez posted to his fellow countryman in the comments section: “Congratulations, the first of many, little fighter.”
Juventus flyer, Juan Cuadrado, also added: “Congratulations, little fighter. Let’s go for more.”
The impression Diaz has made at Liverpool, despite being at the club for such a short space of time, is quite incredible.
From the get-go, he has looked like a Liverpool player and many are already backing him to thrive under Jurgen Klopp in the long run.
Previously, if either one of Sadio Mane or Mo Salah had to miss out, for one reason or another, then it would make Klopp’s XI much, much weaker.
But that’s not the case now with this ever-improving and quadruple-chasing Merseyside outfit.
Against Chelsea, the injured Roberto Firmino didn’t even play because of injury and Klopp could afford to put the returning Diogo Jota on the bench.
Either way, with the Reds in every club competition so far, those at Anfield will be dreaming very big during these final few months of the season.
