Rob Holding’s red card has given Arsenal a massive challenge in their visit to Tottenham Hotspur tonight.

Antonio Conte’s troops are leading 2-0 at the break, courtesy of a first-half double from Harry Kane.

Victory for Arsenal would’ve given them Champions League qualification, but Spurs have been much the better of both North London sides in a thrilling first half.

Holding received two yellow cards for fouls on Son Heung-min, the second of which was a blatant elbow in front of referee Paul Tierney.

And here’s what Gary Neville said live on Sky Sports: “What is he doing? Oh my goodness. I am watching the run and I think he has a jab with his elbow. He is saying it is a shoulder but it is madness from Holding. He has been erratic, he has been rash, and he is off.”

Kane fired the Lilywhites ahead from the penalty spot, following a foul on Son from Cedric Soares in the box.

After the red card, the Tottenham hitman, who is the most prolific goalscorer in North London derby history, headed home a second, capitalising on some slack marking from Eddie Nketiah.

Later in the half, Neville added on Sky Sports: “Kane and Son are stone cold. Son played Holding like a little boy. They are done, Mikel Arteta’s team.”

Are Arsenal done?

Well, it’s such a Mount Everest of a trek back for Arsenal from this position.

The Gunners have thrived with 10 men on numerous occasions this season, but not when they’ve been two goals done with 45 minutes left.

If Mikel Arteta’s side are to qualify for the Champions League this season, it probably won’t be tonight.
