What a night it was for Arsenal on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta’s side thumped Norwich City 4-0 on their return to the Emirates Stadium, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang picking up a brace in a man-of-the-match display.

It was also a night to remember for Cedric Soares, who scored on his long-awaited Arsenal debut after originally joining the club way back in January.

Yep, pretty much every Gunners player will have enjoyed last night – even one star who isn’t even with Arteta’s team at present.

Emile Smith-Rowe was loaned to Championship side Huddersfield Town and the youngster played a starring role in last night’s 3-0 win away to Birmingham City.

The 19-year-old, who has made senior Arsenal appearances under Unai Emery, was a real menace for the hosts, his driving force from midfield leading to a lot of chances for the Terriers.

Here’s how fans of the Yorkshire club reacted to his performance on Twitter:

Smith-Rowe is clearly a big talent and it’ll be interesting to see what Arteta makes of him during pre-season.

Yes, he’s only 19, but Eddie Nketiah is only 21 and yet he’s getting chances under the Spaniard.

Arteta’s team sheet is decided by how the players perform in training, and if Smith-Rowe can make an impression at London Colney, he’ll probably get chances on the field.
