Peter Crouch has admitted to being slightly envious over seeing Rangers’ celebrations on Saturday.
The Gers rounded off the regular season with a 3-0 victory over St Mirren at Ibrox.
In doing so, Rangers are perilously close to snatching the Premiership title away from Celtic, who will concede the league if they fail to beat Dundee today.
Steven Gerrard’s side know that the title is effectively wrapped up and there were scenes of jubilation inside the changing room at full-time yesterday, with the light Blues boss among those singing and dancing – and sliding.
Crouch called time on his playing career back in 2019 and the big striker – who played with Gerrard at Liverpool – has admitted that he misses the game after seeing how joyous Rangers were yesterday.
What’s more impressive is the fact that they haven’t been beaten yet.
Gerrard’s side have won 28 and drawn four of their 32 Premiership games and although Celtic fans will argue that they handed the title to their Old Firm rivals, Rangers would’ve taken some beating this season nonetheless.
