Teddy Sheringham has said that Tottenham Hotspur should sack Antonio Conte and hire Tim Sherwood.
The former Tottenham striker has said on talkSPORT that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy needs to get rid of Conte after his extraordinary rant last weekend.
Conte slammed his Tottenham players and took an aim at the North London club’s board after Spurs failed to win against Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League.
Sheringham has said that Tottenham should hire Sherwood, who is without a managerial role at the moment.
The former Tottenham and Aston Villa manager has publicly said that he would love to return to Spurs and manage the first team.
The Englishman now works as a pundit for Sky Sports among other news organisations.

Teddy Sheringham wants Tim Sherwood as Tottenham Hotspur manager
Sheringham said: “If I was to answer the question I’d say to let him go and bring someone else in.
“I’d let him go now and get yesterday’s guest [Tim Sherwood] in. I would. I think you can do a lot worse than getting Tim Sherwood in.
“He’s a man who knows what he wants as a football manager. He’s had a couple of goes, he’s been sacked and he understands the game. If you listen to him talk, you know he knows how football works.
“Football minds, he can see who is cheating, who wants the ball and who doesn’t. Get him in charge and get them in shape.”
HITC Verdict: Not happening
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is not going to bring Tim Sherwood back as the manager of the first team.
No way.
That ship has sailed.
Now, Sherwood did relatively well when he was in charge of Tottenham and Aston Villa.
But, the 54-year-old has not been in charge of a first team since 2015, and we do not think that Levy is going to give the Englishman a call.
