Garcia, who is yet to be formally mentioned in connection with the latest West Bromwich Albion vacancy, is back on the market after quitting Olympiacos.

Oscar Garcia was interested in becoming West Bromwich Abion’s manager the last time the job became available, according to the Daily Mail.
In the aftermath of Alan Pardew’s sacking at the start of this week, however, the Spaniard looked to be out of the running, as he approached his fourth month in charge of Greek giants Olympiacos.

But after a turbulent start to April, in which the Olympiacos – and Nottingham Forest – owner Evangelos Marinakis, disgruntled by recent results, decided to send the club’s senior players on early summer holidays in favour of playing the youth team for the rest of the campaign, Garcia is again without a club after tendering his resignation.
Incredibly, Olympiacos was the sixth of seven manager’s jobs from which the former Barcelona player has resigned, although his success with Maccabi Tel Aviv and Red Bull Salzburg – where he won a combined three league titles – could outweigh that fact in the eyes of future suitors.

And having led Brighton to the Championship play-offs in his only full season in English football, Garcia could prove particularly attractive to West Bromwich Albion.
The 44-year-old is yet to be formally mentioned in connection with the latest Hawthorns vacancy – he’s not even a bookmaker’s contender at this early stage – although it’s surely something to look out for in the coming weeks and months.
