Leeds United and Sunderland are just two of the sides linked with Motherwell’s Jake Hastie.

Jake Hastie certainly stepped up to the occasion in front of scouts from a number of Championship clubs in midweek.
According to the Daily Record, representatives of Leeds United, West Brom, Norwich City and Swansea were all in attendance as Motherwell took on St Mirren in midweek, with League One challengers Sunderland also taking an interest in the 19-year-old winger.
And Hastie showed what all the fuss was about in brilliant fashion. After scoring twice in Saturday’s comfortable win against Livingston, the teenager hit the net again with a stunning strike from outside of the box.
But what could fans of Leeds, Sunderland and co expect from Hastie if the rising star of Scottish football moves south of the border this summer?
“Jake has brought a breath of fresh air to the side,” Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson told STV after Hastie inspired their 3-0 win against Livingston.
“He’s confident and not frightened to try things and even get a bit of stick.”
This would perhaps make Hastie a perfect fit at clubs like Leeds, Norwich and West Brom – who have taken the Championship by storm this season with their free-flowing attacking style. The Daily Record adds that Hastie is out of contract next summer and Motherwell are some way away from tying him down to a new deal.
