Everton reportedly wanted to sign Eysseric in 2017.

Everton were linked with a move for Fiorentina playmaker Valentin Eysseric back in 2017, and now the Toffees can reportedly land the Frenchman for a tiny figure.
The Sun reported in a paper edition – as relayed by HITC Sport – that Everton were looking at luring the 26-year-old to Goodison Park, with his contract at OGC Nice set to expire in the summer of 2017.
However, Eysseric chose to move to Fiorentina instead, where he has struggled. Making 31 appearances in all competitions since his move to the Italian side, he has scored just once.
Indeed, Eysseric has managed just 15 minutes of Serie A football since October 27. Though lacking in game time, the Frenchman is a classy player with plenty of creativity and the ability to unlock a defence.
The feeling is that he has been somewhat unfairly treated at La Viola, and CalcioMercato have now reported that Fiorentina will be willing to offload the former France under-21 international for a bargain figure of just £3.6million.

Everton are well-stocked in midfield following the signing of Andre Gomes but at such a small figure, Marco Silva would be foolish not to attempt to reignite Eysseric’s career on Merseyside.
It remains to be seen if Everton will look to add Eysseric to their side in the January transfer window, though the Toffees may not be particularly active after spending big in the summer just gone – perhaps leaning towards a move for Eysseric.
