Once linked with Chelsea, could Aston Villa be in danger of losing Jack Grealish to a Premier League club this summer?

Jack Grealish was once again in inspired form for Aston Villa as they beat rivals Birmingham City 2-0 in the derby to move into second place in the Championship.
Since returning to the team in November having spent the beginning of the campaign recovering from a punctured kidney suffered in pre-season, Grealish has become an increasingly influential figure for Steve Bruce’s men.

The 22-year-old academy product has been greatly credited with his role in recent victories against Middlesbrough, Bristol City, Nottingham Forest and Barnsley, with the Villans having now won six in a row in the second tier of English football.
It is quite the turnaround from a little over 12 months ago, when the Birmingham Mail reported Middlesbrough were interested in signing Grealish during the 2017 January transfer window with Bruce willing to offload the midfielder.

Selling the England Under-21 international is probably far from the agenda of the Villa manager now and in fact further interest from the Premier League could be what is concerning the 57-year-old currently.
Some of England’s biggest sides have been sniffing around in the past, with the Daily Mail claiming Chelsea were looking at Grealish back in November 2015 and while that seems unlikely now, many from the top tier are surely keeping at least one eye on how the midfield ace is doing.
