Jesse Lingard has revealed on Sky Sports that David Moyes urged his West Ham United side to keep their intensity at the half-time break yesterday against Tottenham Hotspur.
West Ham went in at half-time in-front, thanks to an early goal from Michail Antonio.
However, Moyes was keen to ensure that his West Ham side did not take their foot off the gas.
The Scot’s word seemed to have the desired impact, as the Hammers doubled their lead almost immediately after the break.
Jesse Lingard raced on to a loose ball and crashed it beyond Hugo Lloris with his left-foot.
And Lingard said, when asked what Moyes told West Ham’s players at half-time: “Just maintaining the same intensity, same concentration and focus as the first-half.

“Like we say, we knew it was going to be a graft – and we had to graft for 95 plus minutes, but that’s what we’re about and we like to work hard for the three points.”
West Ham did indeed have to work hard for their win, but they got over the line in the end, thanks to some excellent defensive work.
The Hammers have now moved into the top four, and there is real optimism building that they could make a top four push.
