Gary Lineker has hailed Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to hand a new contract to midfield star Dele Alli.
The BBC report the deal takes Alli’s commitment to the club up until 2022, a reward for a fantastic 12 months in which he established himself as a key player for the club.

Not only is Alli seen as integral now, Tottenham view him as a vital part of their team for many years to come.
Former Spurs and England striker Lineker praised the move, and congratulated Alli on being awarded the new deal.
Spurs brought Alli into the club in January 2015 before loaning him back to MK Dons, and he made the step up to the first team instantly once he did join up with the squad.
It is very clear that Spurs have a special player in Alli, and they are shrewd to lock Alli’s future down to an extended deal to prevent any ‘vultures’ from circling and potentially turning his head.
