Rangers are reportedly looking to bring Devante Cole to Ibrox.

According to reports from The Scottish Sun, Rangers are hoping to tie up a pre-contract agreement for Fleetwood Town striker Devante Cole.
The son of former Manchester United hero Andrew Cole, Devante has hit 12 goals in 32 games in all competitions this season, and has impressed under Uwe Rosler with his pace in the Fleetwood attack.
After eight goals last season too, Cole is attracting major interest, especially given that he is out of contract at the end of the season, and can walk away for nothing given that he will be 23 this summer.

Rangers are now hoping to take full advantage with a pre-contract agreement, and that shouldn’t be a surprise given Cole’s ties to Gers director of football Mark Allen.
Allen was prised away from Manchester City over the summer, and having been with the Premier League leaders as their Academy Director since 2009, he worked closely with Cole during his time in the City ranks.
Allen knows exactly what Cole can bring, and the chance to land a pacey, promising young forward with a strong goal record over the last year may be too good to turn down for the Gers.

Allen has already used his time at City to bring Aaron Nemane to Rangers, and whilst that loan move didn’t work out, Cole’s reputation in England suggests he may be a much smarter addition after starring in League One.
Other clubs may attempt to sign Cole for cash this month as Fleetwood weigh up their options, but if Allen can pull off a reunion with Cole on a free transfer, Rangers will have made a smart move whilst adding to their attacking options alongside Alfredo Morelos and Jason Cummings.
