Shane Long put the Saints in the lead after just nine minutes, and Naby Keita restored parity for the Reds on 36 minutes.
Mohamed Salah made it 2-1 to the Merseyside outfit on 80 minutes, and Jordan Henderson wrapped up the scoring six minutes later.

The win against Southampton means that Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 82 points from 33 matches, two points clear of second-placed Manchester City, who have played 32 games.
