Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Marcelo Bielsa has provided an update on Patrick Bamford’s fitness ahead of the Whites’ FA Cup clash against West Ham.
Bamford has missed quite a lot of this season due to various injury issues, but luckily for Leeds, it sounds as though his latest problem has now subsided.
Indeed, Bielsa says that Bamford has recovered to the point where he is likely to be able to play against the Hammers this weekend.
What’s Bielsa said about Bamford?
The Leeds gaffer gave an update on the striker.
“The return of Rodrigo we do not have a precise date. Bamford likely to be able to play on Sunday so we can end on this subject of injuries. Phillips and Cooper until March. Shackleton and Cresswell after the international break. Rodrigo and Struijk we cannot predict. Gelhardt and Roberts will be out for approximately a month,” Bielsa said.

Great news
Bamford is back and his return will certainly be welcomed by everyone at Elland Road.
Leeds have really struggled without their number nine on the pitch this season, and his return could really buoy the entire squad.
Bamford is Leeds’ chief goalscorer, but he’s also so much more than just that.
United’s pressing style works best when Bamford is on the pitch, while he’s also brilliant at bringing the Whites’ other attacking players into the game.
Leeds will surely relish the fact that Bamford is back in the fold.
