Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Joe Gelhardt for the Under-23 side against their Wolverhampton Wanderers counterparts on Friday.
Gelhardt was in action for Leeds in their Under-23 game against their Wolves counterpart at Thorp Arch.
The 18-year-old forward started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Premier League 2 game ended in a 2-2 draw.
The youngster scored a brilliant goal for the Whites, as he got past the opposition with ease to finish well.
Gelhardt looks very good in possession, showed a lot of confidence both on the ball and off it, and always took the game to the opposition, and he could play for head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s first team in the coming months.
As reported by The Yorkshire Post, the England Under-18 international joined Leeds from Wigan Athletic last month on a four-year contract for a transfer fee of £1 million.
