Some Aston Villa fans on social media have been raving over Bertrand Traore after his impressive showing against Crystal Palace.
The Villans ran out 3-0 winners against the Eagles on Boxing Day, and Traore looked at his very best at Villa Park.
Unfortunately, his afternoon was cut short as Dean Smith chose to sub him off after Tyrone Mings’ red card towards the end of the first half, but this could be a bit of a blessing in disguise for Traore, as he will be fresh for Villa’s game against Chelsea on Monday.
Regardless, his performance against Palace was mightily impressive despite the fact he was taken off before half time.
Indeed, Traore looked to be up for this game against Roy Hodgson’s side. He opened the scoring early on and he was constantly looking threatening down the wing.
Somewhat understandably, Villa fans went a little overboard with their reactions, with one fan christening him the new Ronaldo, while more than one supporter drew comparisons to Bayern Munich legend Arjen Robben.
Comparing Traore with those bona fide legends of the game is a bit of a stretch, but the fact that Villa fans were even saying these things shows just how good he was.
