Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting to Jurgen Klopp’s comments on the Reds’ chance of finishing in the top four this season.

The German has made an eye-opening admission about his team’s chances this term, claiming that it is ‘almost impossible’ for the Merseyside outfit to break into the top four this term.

From a man who once proclaimed his team to be mentality monsters, this seems like a bit of a pessimistic comment, but Reds supporters believe that there’s more than meets the eye here.

Indeed, the fanbase believe this is a classic case of their manager playing mind games.

We’ve seen it so many times at the top level where a manager takes a bullet in the press to shift pressure off of their players or even onto the other teams around them, and to be fair, we can see how Klopp’s comments here could mess with the heads of his rivals.

However, it has to be said that Liverpool making the top four does seem to be a tough task, so perhaps there was indeed an element of truth in what Klopp was saying.

Here’s what the Anfield faithful have been saying on social media…
