Mark Viduka told the Football Show on Sky Sports on Tuesday morning that he has ‘never felt’ an atmosphere like the one between Celtic and Rangers in the Old Firm.
The former Parkhead hitman shared that the Celtic-Rangers clash has to be ‘one of the biggest’ derby matches ‘anywhere’ in the world.
During his career, Viduka has played for the likes of Zagreb and Leeds, both who have intense rivals, from Hajduk Split to Manchester United.
And Viduka shared that during his days at Celtic, he couldn’t even communicate with his teammates on the pitch against Rangers because of the sheer noise coming from the crowd.
“I think the Old Firm has got to be one of the biggest derbies ever, like anywhere,” said Viduka.
“The atmosphere, I have never felt that sort of an atmosphere anywhere and I have played a lot of derbies in the UK and here (Zagreb) but that derby is all-out emotion from all sides.
“As a player, you cannot even communicate with the other players on the field.”

Fast forward to today and the incoming Celtic boss, whoever that will be, will be in for a rude awakening if they don’t understand the nuts and bolts of football in Glasgow.
Rangers have just stopped Celtic from winning 10 in a row, so the mood in the Parkhead camp isn’t pleasant.
One more Old Firm clash is to be played this season, in May, and Celtic will be hoping to put a dampener on Steven Gerrard’s party by ending their unbeaten season.
