Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are reacting to some footage of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in training.

The 28-year-old Liverpool midfielder certainly has a wonder goal in him, as he has demonstrated a lot during his time on Merseyside and during a previous stint at Arsenal.

And Oxlade-Chamberlain offered further evidence of his penchant for a worldie at the Axa Training Centre on Thursday afternoon.

Liverpool released footage on their Twitter feed of the midfielder thumping a sweetly-struck volley into the top corner, past 18-year-old goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga.

Even if it was Alisson in between the sticks, the result still would’ve been the same such was the quality of the strike.

Here’s how some Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter:

Opportunity kn-Ox

The former Arsenal attacker, a £40 million addition in 2017, has only managed 69 minutes of Premier League football this season.

But with Harvey Elliott out injured for the long term, and Gini Wijnaldum gone to Paris Saint-Germain, there’s an opportunity for Oxlade-Chamberlain to play more regularly here.

This is a player who only featured for 243 minutes in the Premier League last season, despite being fit for virtually the whole campaign.

But his form wasn’t up to par with what Jurgen Klopp expected.

However, the ability is and always has been there with the England international – and now he should, in theory, have motivation to show it on a regular basis.

The Reds are home to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
