Steven Gerrard’s reaction to Rangers’ win today said it all.
The Gers picked up a huge three points to ensure that they go into the international break on a high by beating Hibernian 2-1 at Ibrox.
Rangers spent most of the game facing 10 men after Ryan Porteous’ tackle on 30 minutes earned him a straight red card.
But Gerrard’s side were unable to cancel out Kevin Nisbet’s early opener as the visitors led 1-0 at the break.
However, it was a huge second half from the Premiership champions, who equalised on the hour mark through Kemar Roofe.
And with 12 minutes remaining, Alfredo Morelos scored his 99th Rangers goal for what turned out to be the winner.
With Celtic winning earlier in the day, victory was imperative for the Ibrox outfit and Gerrard’s reaction after the final whistle spoke volumes.
The legendary midfielder personally congratulated his players on the field and offered passionate fist pumps in the direction of the applauding supporters.
