Some Arsenal fans on social media have been raving over Bukayo Saka despite their disappointing 2-1 loss to Villarreal on Thursday evening.
Arsenal looked to be down and out at one point against Unai Emery’s side, but a half-decent second-half showing has given them something to build on in the second leg.
As ever, Saka was one of Arsenal’s best players, and it was his run into the box that won the Gunners their penalty that Nicolas Pepe duly converted.
At the age of just 19, Saka put the team on his back in a Europa League semi-final, and it was incredible to see a young player perform like this on such a big stage.
As you can imagine, the winger earnt quite a lot of praise for his performance against Villarreal, and while Arsenal fans had every reason to be unhappy after the game, Saka gave them a reason to be hopeful.
